Designed to be highly productive and durable, the Ballast Blaster will save you tens, and tens, of thousands of dollars! Why not have the best performance in the industry and proven support and service? Know all the facts when comparing other makes.
Do the Math! Reap the Rewards!
With the world's first and only 360° attachment rotation, the Dymax Ballast Blaster gives you the greatest operating flexibility. We can prove that you will more than double your productivity and cut operating costs by more than half! Get the work done within limited track time commitments. We engineered the Ballast Blaster to be the safest to operate, the easiest to maintain, and to exceed the productivity and durability of every other brand of undercutter.
Patent-Pending Features - Lifetime Limited Warranty
All Dymax Ballast Blasters feature replaceable blaster wear plates. Blaster wear plates can be rotated throughout the cutting bar giving you the best wear management and best overall service satisfaction. Similar to rotating your tires on your vehicle.
Ballast Blaster wear plates come armored with RokGäard that encompasses both sides of the wear plate delivering twice the protection and offering significant benefits when working in harsh environments.
RokGäard does not chip like competing products and Blaster wear plates can be rebuilt using RokGäard offered exclusively through DymaxRail.
World's Only Automatic Adjusting and Bidirectional Cutting Chain
Available on some models, the auto-adjusting chain dramatically reduces chain wear, saving even more money, increasing safety and reducing downtime. Dymax Ballast Blasters feature automatic chain adjustment systems that deliver the right amount of tension throughout the cutting cycle. The Dymax auto-adjust chain gives you continuous cutting ability. Never stop to manually tighten your chain! Eliminate the possibility of injury.
Another exclusive design, the Dymax Ballast Blaster chain cuts in both directions. Bi-directional -- both forward and reverse cutting action at the flip of a switch -- means more uptime, and more feet-per-hour track time maintenance. Dramatically increase productivity.
Other significant advantages are the carbide coated and dual tipped chain teeth, as well as the built-in cushioning system that prolongs chain and sprocket life. These durability designs move money straight to the bottom line!
DymaxRail is the first in the world with these design technologies engineered for excavator undercutters.
World's First and Only 360° Undercutter Attachment Rotation
The Dymax Ballast Blaster is the world's only ballast maintenance work tool with full 360° continuous rotation. With this flexibility operators can position the machine to work from either side of the track and at sites where tracks are run close together. It also greatly improves management of spoil piles allowing operators flexibility and maximum cutting speed and performance.
Ballast Blaster Hydraulics - No More Costly Machine Modifications!
We've worked with every major machine manufacturer and have produced more than 300,000 work tools. We design our work tool to the standard, stock machine. YOU DO NOT NEED SPECIAL HIGH COST HYDRAULIC MODIFICATIONS ADDED TO THE MACHINE.
Dymax Ballast Blasters require a two way circuit, with a case drain line for operating the cutting motor and chain adjuster group (if applicable), while a secondary two way circuit and case drain is required for operating the bar swing function.
Dymax can supply an electro-hydraulic valve package for operating the bar tilting function*, if required, or a third set of two way flow lines can be installed on the machine. (*The electro-hydraulic valve package only requires the use of a 24v electric service cable connected to a switch in the cable.)
THAT'S IT. NOTHING MORE! IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT, CALL DYMAX AND WE WILL EXPLAIN IT FURTHER!
